Recently, I have been dealing with clients that have purchased domain names from web development companies. Having decided to get their websites redesigned, they gave me their domain registration details, the problem I have come across is - the web development companies registered the domain name in their own name!

So, trying to get the administration email address changed to my client's name has proved to be very difficult. Beware, when getting someone else to register your domain name - always ask if you are the administration contact for the domain name.

The other day I was trying to cancel my subscription for satellite tv. I decided to go to their website after waiting for over three minutes on the telephone.

When I filled in the form, an error appeared "please fill in all the fields". I tried again and the same error appeared. I decided to use a different web browser. I noticed that there were extra fields on the form that were not displayed in the other browser.

I wonder if that is a deliberate tactic to try and stop people cancelling their subscriptions?

I came across a website today that had no page title, meta tags or keywords. If the website had not been listed on google maps I don't suppose anyone would ever find it.

It occured to me today, that it would be useful for visitors to this website, if I was to provide various tips and advice regading website design, web development, domain registration, search engine optimisation etc....
